Slow Dance Quilt PATTERN TEST

I’m so excited to share my version of the Slow Dance Quilt! Alex at HoffMama Company designed such a fun quilt pattern. This was actually my first time testing a quilt pattern, so I was both super nervous and super excited at the same time. But Alex created such an encouraging environment that I quickly got over my fears.

The Slow Dance Quilt comes in two different styles: a beginner and intermediate (I made the beginner version but am definitely going to make the intermediate soon!). The beginner version is all half-square triangles and comes together pretty quickly. I found that these slotted trimmers were really handy when it came time to trimming the HSTs before ironing (Yes! I said before!). I was skeptical at first, but it was a huge time saver. I also used this rotating cutting mat, which was also really helpful during the trimming process.

I hope you enjoy my version of this quilt!
