The Juniper Quilt
I am so excited that I was able to test out the first pattern release from Pear Tree Designs Co, The Juniper Quilt! This pattern is confident beginner friendly. It uses skills like strip piecing and half-square triangles. Lindsey took a traditional pinwheel and cleverly transformed it into this unique block. The great thing about this pattern is you can make it scrappy or a single color. The possibilities are endless!
When it came time to decide on how I would quilt it, I had an idea to mix machine and hand quilting, but quickly realized that this quilt needed to solely be quilted by hand. I used a combination of DMC Cotton thread (60 wt.) that I found in my stash of sewing supplies from my grandmother, and Gutermann quilting thread. They made the perfect combination!
My version of The Juniper Quilt is the crib size, which measures 37” x 37”. It’s perfect for newborn photos or to have as decoration in a nursery. If you love this pattern as much as I do, head over to Pear Tree Designs Co to purchase your copy today! This quilt is also available in my shop.
